A stained wall of plaster and brick, darkened by moss and algae, forms the backdrop for long strands of hanging ivy. Beneath it lie several shallow, rectangular concrete basins, ferns growing at their edges. A barred window admits muted light and a glimpse of foliage outside. The tendrils hang motionless, as if they had taken on the stillness of the room.
