A geometrically carved stucco ceiling with a central crest spans a hall whose walls carry a red damask pattern. Three tall mullioned windows let in even light, which traces across the chequered tile floor. The wall colour appears saturated and largely intact. The clear symmetry of ceiling, walls and windows defines the room.
