Staircase with a gallery and tiled floor in a former casino in Italy
From below, the view opens onto a staircase leading up to a gallery with a wrought iron balustrade. A round arch with a balcony door closes the space above, while below a tiled floor in a dark diamond pattern marks the layout. The walls are kept in warm ochre and blotchy in places. The symmetry of the staircase remains clearly legible.
