Staircase with framed wall panels in a historic villa at Lago Maggiore, Italy
An elongated hallway with a barrel vaulted ceiling leads to a staircase with a black wrought iron railing. The walls are decorated with framed panels in pink and orange tones, marked by green staining and traces of moisture. On the lower floor, a double door stands open, revealing debris beyond. The axial symmetry of the space remains clearly legible despite the decay.
