From an upper gallery, the view drops through several levels of a staircase with wrought iron railings down to a diamond patterned tiled floor. Tall windows at the lower end let warm light fall into the shaft. The walls are ochre coloured and blotchy with weathering in places. The depth of the space unfolds across several staggered levels.
