An octagonal dome in yellow tones with a small skylight in an abandoned hospital in Italy

An octagonal dome opens in strong yellow toward a small octagonal skylight of blue glass. Greenish, patinated pendentives frame the dome at the four corners, and a narrow ornamental band separates the fields of colour. The clear geometric form and rich colour contrast with the otherwise grey decay of the building. Light falls softly through the small window into the space.
