Fresco-decorated hall with a fireplace in an abandoned palazzo in Italy
A richly divided coffered ceiling carries numerous frescoes of mythological figures among clouds, framed in white and gold stucco. On the walls, the painting continues in large, partly heavily faded scenes. A stone fireplace with curved consoles stands at the center, with a dark wooden door leading to an adjoining room to the side. The floor is bare, and large areas of plaster have flaked from the walls.
