Abandoned chapel with a collapsed dome in Italy
A round dome opens at its center into a large, irregular hole, through which the branches and leaves of a tree grow into the interior. Two round arches lead from the domed hall further into a similarly overgrown room behind. The plaster on the walls and arches is patchy and flaked away in large areas, dense greenery pressing in through the window openings on the sides. The vegetation seems to be conquering the space from every direction at once.
