Abandoned church with domed apse in Romania

The view opens through two wide round arches onto a pale apse with a tiered dome base, its drum showing narrow windows, some open and unglazed. At the end of the short choir stands a small, gilded altarpiece surrounded by plain white walls. Colored windows on both sides of the room let greenish light fall onto the dark debris covering the floor. The reduction to a few simple forms gives the space a quiet clarity.
