Symmetrical concrete hall with hanging ivy in a paper mill in Italy
Two staircases lead symmetrically into an open concrete room, its central axis marked by densely hanging ivy. The tendrils drop from a crossbeam down to the leaf-covered floor, wrapping around the supporting columns. Bare concrete and exposed reinforcement bear witness to decay, while the green softens the architecture's strict symmetry. Light enters from the side through open wall gaps.
