Small balustraded staircase beyond an archway in an abandoned government building in Georgia

Through a tall doorway with a heavily weathered lintel, the view opens onto a small staircase with a stone balustrade. Moss covers parts of the railing, and the plaster on the walls has flaked away in broad patches, exposing the masonry beneath. Rubble and stones lie scattered across the floor in the foreground. Muted light falls from above into the narrow space.
