Starred vault above a staircase with lion motifs in an abandoned villa in Italy
A pointed, gothic style vault with golden stars on deep blue arches over a staircase. The walls below carry a pattern of golden lions, interrupted by a bare brick corner where the plaster has fallen away completely. A black railing leads the stairs downward. Despite the decay, the space feels like a small chapel.
