A teal, flaking ceiling dome in an abandoned hotel in Georgia
Ribbed vaulting in teal-coloured render meets in a star pattern above a junction of column capitals. Large areas of paint have flaked away to reveal the grey surface beneath, while other patches still show dark water stains. Between the ribs, openings give views straight onto open sky. The strong teal colour lends the decaying space a cool, almost maritime feel despite everything.
