A richly decorated white stucco dome in Moorish style inside an abandoned castle in Italy

A star-shaped dome of white stucco is covered from edge to edge in fine, oriental-influenced decoration. Pointed-arch niches with coloured glass inserts surround a central rosette motif. Numerous small openings let daylight in, casting bright patches across the ornament. The density of the decoration leaves hardly any surface plain.
