ROUND

Coffered dome with an angel figure above a monumental cemetery complex in Italy

A coffered dome curves above a round oculus that lets bright light pour in. Relief medallions and busts line its rim, while a stone angel with outstretched wings rises into frame in the foreground. The coffers are decorated with floral rosettes, their colours shifting between pink, ochre and gold. The strict geometry of the rings heightens the effect of the central point of light.
