Castles and Châteaux

In France, more châteaux stand empty than there are buyers. Inheritance tax, roofs the size of a football pitch and villages without work have left houses where the library still stands and the silk wallpaper hangs from the walls. In Scotland and Ireland it is castles whose roofs fell centuries ago, and the sky has taken over the hall.

Sven Fennema shows both: interiors from HABITAT and SANCTUARIES OF BLISS, castle ruins from RUINS AND REVERIE, taken in mist, in rain and in first light. The landscapes call for space, the interiors for closeness.

Depending on the finish, your work comes signed directly from the artist; very large works the lab hands straight to a freight carrier.
