Aerial Views of Abandoned Places

Photographed in United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland and Spain

From above, an abandoned building becomes a floor plan. The roofs that still hold and those that have collapsed, the trees growing in the courtyard, the park whose paths can only be read from the air. In AIRSCAPES, Sven Fennema shows places he had previously photographed from the inside, from a perspective nobody else has of them.

The aerial views are graphic and calm, often almost abstract. They suit modern rooms and work as aluminium prints, whose flat, matt surface supports the clarity of the photographs.

Every work as an open edition in three finishes and four sizes from €90.00, lab-made in Germany with a 75-year colour guarantee. Larger sizes as a numbered limited edition on request.

What you get

Sven Fennema has photographed abandoned villas, churches, theatres and industrial sites across Europe since 2008. Every print is made individually to order in a leading German fine art lab. Depending on the finish, your work comes signed directly from the artist; very large works the lab hands straight to a freight carrier.

  • Craftsmanship from Germany

Every work is made individually after your order: mounting, stretching and final inspection by hand, usually within 7–10 working days.

  • 75-year colour guarantee

The lab guarantees the colour fastness of the prints for 75 years. Your picture will look the same in decades as on the first day.
